Leriche Tournant’s Brut Prestige Champagne is a great classic from the small house in Vandières, in the department of Marne. It is made from a simple blend of 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay. Only 8 grams of sugar for a delicate blend, a cuvée, of white and black grapes that is distinguished by its beautiful light gold colour, with a delicate effervescence that forms fine chains that rise unceasingly from the bottom of the glass. At first, the nose is fresh and citrusy. It is particularly reminiscent of lemon and grapefruit. This is followed by clear hints of peach and apricot, combined with subtle notes of white flowers. A hint of pastry and vanilla then clearly emerges. In the mouth it is generous, with a touch of vivacity. Fresh fruit aromas return, followed by notes of bread and toasted almonds. Excellent aromatic persistence. Perfect as an aperitif, it accompanies fish or white meat dishes without any problems.
